      IMA Polska S.A. is one of the leading ethyl alcohol producers in Poland with over 15 years of experience in the distillation and spirits industry. We specialise in the production of a wide range of industrial and food alcohols: agricultural distillate, rectified alcohol, bioethanol, pharmaceutical, organic and kosher alcohol.

      Three generations of distilling tradition

      Our roots go back to three generations of Polish distilling tradition. The combination of family heritage with modern management and qualified engineers, technologists and laboratory specialists is the foundation of our competitive advantage. The production site is located in Murowana Goślina in Wielkopolska - a region with a rich history of spirit production and deep agricultural traditions.

      Modern production infrastructure

      The plant operates two distillation lines with a total capacity of 6,500 dm³/h and a multi-column rectification plant (1,500 dm³/h). A separate line is used to produce fuel bioethanol (1,500 dm³/h) by absorption on molecular sieves.

      The in-house laboratory performs more than 100 chromatographic analyses per day using two gas chromatographs and a liquid chromatograph. Each batch of alcohol undergoes GC quality control, and cereal raw materials are tested for starch, protein and fat with a NIR analyser.

      Certifications and compliance with international standards

      We work in accordance with international quality management systems:

      • HACCP - hazard analysis and critical control points
      • KZR INiG / ISCC - certification of sustainable origin of bioethanol
      • ITWL - bioethanol fuel quality certificate
      • TUV Rheinland - organic alcohol production certificate
      • Kosher certification - Chief Rabbi of Poland

      Our products are GMO-free and manufactured in accordance with the European REACH regulation. The company is listed by ECHA as a supplier of active substances for biocidal products (Decision ACC-D-1464468-41-00/F).

      Investment in RES and the circular economy

      Since 2017, we have been developing a Sustainable Energy Centre based on our proprietary processing waste methanation technology. Two biogas plants - the „Stork” (0.48 MW) and the „Heron” (1.44 MW) - convert corn stover into electricity and heat. The project was co-financed by the National Centre for Research and Development.

      By-products of alcohol production are used as:

      • DDGS (dried distillery broth) - high protein feed (>32% protein)
      • Thresh - Fresh cattle feed (36% protein in d.m.)
      • Feed syrup - TMR component
      • FERMROL organic fertiliser - registered by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development in 2020.

      Ethyl alcohol producer IMA Poland offers:

      Production plant: 21 Polna St., 62-095 Murowana Goślina (Wielkopolska). We carry out deliveries by 24t tankers and in 1000L DPPL packaging throughout Poland and the EU.

      Frequently asked questions

      IMA Poland was established in 2010. We started alcohol production in 2011 and acquired a production facility in Murowana Goślina in 2013. In 2016, we transformed the company into IMA Polska S.A. and established an R&D department. Since then, we have been steadily developing production capacity, methanation facilities and an alcohol bottling plant.

      Yes. We combine three generations of family distilling traditions with modern management. Founder and CEO Jakub Ima, together with his father Krzysztof Ima (chief technologist) and other family members, form the core of the management team and oversee key areas of the business.

      We specialise in the production of ethyl alcohol (agricultural distillate, food grade alcohol, pharmaceutical alcohol, bioethanol, REN grade alcohol, organic alcohol, kosher alcohol), the production of biogas and renewable energy, maize thresh and FERMROL organic fertiliser.

      This means that our production process implements the idea of a Closed-loop Economy (GOZ). We use the waste from alcohol production (decoction) to produce biogas, which supplies our facilities with electricity and heat. The fermentation residue is returned to agriculture as certified organic fertiliser Fermrol. In this way, we minimise the carbon footprint of our products.
