    Bioethanol

We offer dehydrated ethyl alcohol (bioethanol) o a minimum content of 99.7%, intended for use energy and industrial, mainly as biofuel component and additive to conventional fuels. This product is made from agricultural raw materials using modern dehydration technology on molecular sieves, guaranteeing high purity and parameter stability.

Dehydrated ethanol (bioethanol) is particularly important in fuel applications, as the reduced water content helps to maintain fuel blend stability and performance predictability throughout the supply chain. This makes dehydrated bioethanol suitable both as a component for petrol blends and in industrial applications where ethanol with as low a water content as possible is required.

    Application
    • Biofuel production (fuel bioethanol)
    • Component for petrol and fuel blends
    • Industrial applications requiring high ethanol content without water

Depending on the customer's needs, bioethanol can also be used as a process raw material in industrial plants, e.g. where repeatability of quality, purity and compliance with internal technological specifications are important. Use in a specific process (e.g. as a process solvent or component of mixtures) should be tailored to the requirements of the installation and the parameters of the target product in each case.

    Quality parameters and repeatability

We offer dehydrated ethyl alcohol as a stable product prepared for applications requiring high ethanol content. A key differentiator is minimum ethanol content 99.7% and low water content, which supports predictability in fuel blends and industrial processes. For B2B customers, we provide standard quality documentation (e.g. batch parameters within specifications / quality certificates - depending on the cooperation model).

Proven quality and compliance with EU regulations

Our bioethanol meets high quality and environmental standards, as evidenced by:

    • KZR INiG certificate - compliance with EU requirements on greenhouse gas emissions and sustainability of raw materials
    • ITWL certificate - confirming the technical quality and compliance of bioethanol with the requirements of the fuel sector
    Supply logistics and B2B services

We carry out deliveries in a model that is tailored to the customer's needs (volume, schedule, method of delivery). Bioethanol is a continuously used raw material, so predictability and timeliness of deliveries, as well as consistency of parameters between batches, are of key importance. As part of our B2B cooperation, we agree on the terms of avisation, receipt requirements and the documentation necessary for the purchasing and storage process.

    Safety in use and storage

Dehydrated ethyl alcohol is a flammable liquid and should therefore only be used and stored under industrial conditions, in accordance with health and safety regulations and the safety data sheet (SDS). Storage in sealed containers/packaging, in ventilated areas, away from sources of ignition and high temperatures, with procedures to minimise the risk of evaporation and the build-up of static electricity is recommended. Working and storage conditions should be based on the risk assessment of the site and the internal instructions in force.

Attention: the product is intended for energy and industrial applications, not for consumption. For specific applications (e.g. requiring specific additional parameters), we recommend verification of compliance with the process specification prior to implementation at the installation.

    Frequently asked questions

We use technology molecular sieves (Pressure Swing Adsorption - PSA). This is a physical process in which alcohol vapours are passed through a zeolite bed that selectively traps water molecules. This method guarantees a product with a concentration of min. 99.7% vol without the use of chemical azeotropic agents (such as cyclohexane or benzene), ensuring the highest chemical purity of the product.

By integrating the distillery with its own biogas plant (which uses production waste to generate heat and electricity in cogeneration), our bioethanol is characterised by reduction of GHG emissions >70% . The exact value is calculated individually for each batch and shown on the PoS document.

Yes, our bioethanol meets all the parameters of the standard EN 15376 .

Yes, we carry out the denaturing process directly on site (tax warehouse). We offer bioethanol denatured in accordance with the Commission Regulation (EC) - the so-called "bio-ethanol of the future". eurosknife (1L IPA + 1L MEK + 1g Bitrex per 100L of ethanol), which is exempt from excise duty throughout the European Union on movement. We can also use other denaturants (e.g. Bitrex alone, IPA) according to the customer's needs, as long as national regulations allow. For more information, please see denatured ethanol.

Bioethanol produced by Ima Polska is a very good base for the production of winter windscreen washer liquids. It has a high purity and a mild aroma, which facilitates the fragrance composition of the final product. However, the majority of bioethanol produced on the European market is of fuel quality and is not suitable for the production of windscreen washer liquids.

Yes. Bioethanol from IMA Poland has full sustainability documentation (KZR INiG, ITWL, PoS certificate - Proof of Sustainability), allowing it to be counted towards the implementation of the NCW by fuel companies. The documentation is in line with ERO requirements and biocomponent regulations.

Double counting is an EU mechanism whereby bioethanol from specific feedstocks (e.g. waste, residues) is double counted for the implementation of the NDC. IMA Poland offers bioethanol eligible for double counting, which increases its value to fuel companies.

Bioethanol is used as a component for petrol (E5, E10, E85), a feedstock for ETBE production and in industrial processes requiring anhydrous ethanol. In the EU, bioethanol is a key element in meeting the RED III targets for the share of RES in transport.
