From humble beginnings - when we started by leasing a production plant - to the creation of a comprehensive infrastructure including modern plants, tanks and warehouses. Ima Polska S.A. has undergone a huge transformation during this time.

The 1960s
Our distilling experience goes back to the 1960s, when Antoni Ima - the grandfather of the company's founder and owner - took over the first distillery in the Lubuskie Voivodship.
2011
Start of alcohol production
Initially on the basis of leasing the production facility. After a break in Murowana Goślina, the distillation columns are starting up again!
2013
Purchase of a production facility in Murowana Goślina
Purchase of the production facility in Murowana Goślina - We are finalising the agreement to purchase the plant - a big step for us.
2014
Creation of a new tax warehouse
From now on, we can sell and buy products under an excise duty suspension procedure.
2015
Construction of a methanation plant for processing residues
The first biogas plant is being built according to our proprietary concept so that we can manage production residues.
2016
Conversion of IMA Sp. z o.o. into IMA Polska S.A.
Transformation of Ima Polska Sp. z o.o. into Ima Polska S.A. - The new company form allows us to grow faster.
Establishment of an R&D department
New projects mean new challenges. We want to be well prepared for them, which is why we are launching a research and development department within the company. Initially, it is mainly concerned with the topic of methane fermentation.
Obtaining kosher certification
The Chief Rabbi of Poland awards us a kosher certificate, confirming the quality of the alcohol produced. We renew the certificate every year.
Commissioning of new distillation line
We are constantly striving to improve the quality of the spirits produced and to increase production capacity, hence the decision to expand the distillation line.
2017
Introduction of certified bioethanol
We are certified by KZR INiG (product compliance with EU emission requirements) and ITWL (bioethanol quality certificate).
Purchase of first bottling line
Realistically, plans and dreams of owning their own bottling plant and kraft spirits brand are coming to life.
2018
Extension of the metallization plant for processing residues
A second biogas plant with a capacity of 1.44MWe is being built, and the experience with the first plant allows us to make a number of improvements.
New alcohol storage tanks
Construction of new alcohol storage tanks and modernisation of existing tanks - „The more tanks the better” as our warehouse manager used to say
2019
Business Gazelle
We are awarded the „Business Gazelle 2019” by Puls Biznesu magazine. - a title awarded to the best growing small and medium-sized enterprises
Obtaining organic farming certification
Our range is expanding - from this point on we offer organically produced spirits.
2020
Biocidal products
The Covid-19 pandemic turns lives, activities and businesses off the beaten track in an instant. We react quickly to the situation and, by decision of the European Chemicals Agency, we are included in the list of suppliers of active substances on the market release and use of biocidal products.
Fermrol organic fertiliser
We receive a positive decision from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development for the registration and marketing of organic fertiliser, obtained as a by-product of biogas production

Business Gazelle
Once again, we are awarded the distinction for the most dynamically developing Polish companies in the SME sector for 2020.
2022
New alcohol distribution station
As we grow, we are modernising the plant's infrastructure - the expansion of the distribution station is an increase in handling capacity.
