Installation of the fifth fermentation tank – project details
The installation work requires the use of tall cranes and precise coordination on site. The fifth fermentation tank has a capacity of 750,000 litres and will join the four units already in operation. Each of the tanks has been designed as a bespoke structure – from the technical design, through the selection of materials, to on-site fabrication and installation.
Once installation is complete, the total capacity of the fermentation system at the IMA Polska plant will be 3.75 million litres. This represents a significant increase in production capacity, which directly translates into the scale of production bioethanol and ethyl alcohol.
A bespoke design rather than off-the-shelf solutions
IMA Polska does not use off-the-shelf, catalogue-based solutions for fermentation infrastructure. The company designs and builds fermentation tanks in-house.
